Chapter 11 (Part 2)

Our kidnappers then proceeded to grab us and hoist us over their shoulders like a troublesome sack of potatoes. Really this is no way to treat a delicate lady like me.

Not that you’re in any way delicate.

 Where did that voice come from? And why did it sound suspiciously like Noirxus?

Chapter 11 (Part 1)

“Oh my, would you look at that – an uninvited, unwelcome, suspicious but pleasantly polite visitor interrupting my long awaited dinner,” I said sarcastically. “Since you’re here, can I offer you some tea, some snack or some beating? I’d be glad to dish out any of the three.”

Chapter 10 (Part 3)

Brooding is not my style; apologizing, even more. I have too much pride for that. So I’m not going to apologize to Noirxus but I may clear up some misunderstandings if he even misunderstood. There is a chance that he got my real meaning and not the double meaning or he got both meanings but chose to ignore the other. But if he only got the second meaning, the embarrassing one, then I’m going to turn it around and slap my intended meaning on his face, mock his weakness, twist the words and the situation to insult his perverseness (not mine) among other things, so he won’t get the wrong idea next time. I’ll make it so that he got the wrong idea not me because I’m perfectly innocent in the first place. Yeah, that’s a good plan. I’m going with that plan.

Chapter 10 (Part 2)

AN: Alright people sorry for the long wait~! I got caught up with the new semester... but I didn't forget my novel if that's what you're thinking! So as a reward to my patient readers, an extra long part!

I found myself standing to the side of a black roofless hall. The floor, the walls, the intricately carved columns all seemed to be made from a black polished stone, an odd mix between granite and marble that dimly sparkled according to perspective or the way the light hits the stones. The expansive rectangular space opened up to the ominous dark sky. The only light that ever graced the room were the brief flashes of silent lightning from above.

Chapter 10 (Part 1)

We reached the gates before sundown. As soon as the guards caught sight of Daisy, they saluted and lowered their head but after Daisy and Rascielle passed, they did a complete attitude change and barred our way with their spears or sticks as I see it.

Chapter 9 (Part 3)

With the wolf’s help, we found a smoother road for the horses which made it incredibly easier for both man and beast. The horses transformed from weary, slow, panting and teary eyed beasts of burden to content, relieved, sparkly-eyed, I’d even go as far as smiling Pegasi or Pegasuses… that. For us humans, well let’s just say our butts were happy as well.

Chapter 9 (part 2)

Brutal, merciless slaughter… none of those words could even begin to describe how these wolves died. A whole clan of unidentifiable carcasses that seemed to have exploded from the inside was strewn all over the place. In all my life’s travels, never had I seen so much malice and death.

Chapter 9 (Part 1)

We ran as fast as we could, whizzing and weaving through the trees, the scenery blurring past us. Noirxus and I reached the camp within seconds. When we got to the scene, I felt like hitting myself in shame. For when I set up that barrier to include the whole camp, it really did include everything even the unconscious wolf. Except now the wolf is fully conscious and half standing. Without slowing down, I snapped my fingers, dissipating the barrier leaving Noirxus and I free to rush in. We both quickly unsheathed our swords and poised them in a cross like fashion above the wolf’s neck.
